The story between Sea Gems and Dylign

All You Need is a Vision to Start

A woman relaxes outdoors while holding a bright orange Sea Gems popsicle.

The Brand

Klaudia and Kat grew up in Europe, where food was fresh, simple and made with care. After moving to LA they went looking for a frozen treat that was both fun and genuinely good for them, could not find one, and made it themselves.

Seagems is the result: popsicles built on real ingredients, with the view that healthy living has room for a little indulgence. It is a brand about pleasure without the trade-off, and that idea has to survive the jump from a product someone eats to a package someone picks up in a freezer aisle.

The Challenge

The co-founders had a clear brand vision and no print-ready artwork. No vector files, no print layouts, no established package design setup.

That is normally where a packaging project stops. Custom manufacturers expect press-ready Illustrator files before anything gets quoted, and design is not a service we usually provide.

Sea Gems popsicles are displayed on ice beside a branded sign at an outdoor event.

The Solution

We did it anyway.

We built the vector graphics and print layouts from scratch alongside their team, then went through multiple rounds on the details that decide whether a design feels balanced or not: testing different scale options for the logo, tuning the color relationship between the brand typography and the wave-line graphics, adjusting stroke weights and spacing until the proportions held.

The Result

A packaging lineup that carries the Sea Gems aesthetic from screen to shelf, built from a visual idea rather than from a file.

They now own production-ready files for the brand. The next SKU starts from an existing set of vector assets and print layouts instead of from a description, which is the difference between commissioning a design every time and having one.

Klaudia and Kat started this company because the thing they wanted did not exist, so they made it. At the packaging stage they hit the same wall again, and this time the answer was that most suppliers would not build it for them. We did, and the brand now looks on a freezer shelf the way it looked in their heads. The part they could not do themselves is the part that stopped being in their way.

We had a clear vision but no production-ready files. Dylign helped us bring our packaging to life.”

“Dylign guided us through every design detail with confidence and care.”
